God’s Statement:
Hope is the best cure for an ailing heart.
In this sculpture, you will see beside the stretcher a sculpture of a volcano and
a small boat beside it. When I asked this question, I was particularly asking
God about a farming business that I got into. This farm was very close to a
volcano (Taal volcano). Having a farm has always been one of my “dreams”.
All the signs were there that this was God’s grace. I thoroughly enjoyed it but
within a year, He asked me to close it down. This experience was very
confusing to me. When God gave me this sculpture, I then understood why He
did this – I was in a point in my life where I needed something to cheer me up
and keep me happily preoccupied. God had other plans for me but for the
moment, this was something that I needed to keep me optimistic.
Too often when people get this emergency treatment, they stop praying thinking
they already got what they need. Others are unwilling to let go of the
temporary solution. A usual example would be a relationship that may come
into your life at a time when you are broken-hearted. This is not the
“permanent solution” to your need for love but someone who God sends to help
you get back on your feet. If you keep in prayer, things will evolve naturally
(one thing leads to another) and you will find the right person God has in mind
for you. However, if you stop praying or “stick to the relationship”, even when it
turns sour, then you just deprived yourself of the true answer to your prayers.
